Welcome to My Hometown
Our Hometown Communities Foundation welcomes you to My Hometown, a partnership between communities, government, faith groups, businesses, and concerned citizen groups. Its purpose is to breathe new life into deteriorating neighborhoods through the efforts of thousands of volunteers to help revitalize communities so families will want to move in, stay, and contribute to that community.
My Hometown Works in 3 Major Ways:
1. Neighborhood Revitalization
Through Days of Service, My Hometown leaders and volunteers clean up homes, yards and public areas. They plant trees and flowers to beautify parks and homes, repair or replace sidewalks, driveways, porches, fences, and more. They will also repair, paint, and upgrade homes and public buildings.

They also have access to labor and equipment resources that are not within the reach of residents
How Days of Service work
Recipients pay for materials with labor and equipment provided. They work alongside volunteers to improve their property. Led by block captains, Days of Service events show families how to take care of their property and help one another. Communities can take pride in the neighborhood and continue to maintain it.
2. Community Centers
Community Centers are at the core of our neighborhood revitalization efforts. They bring neighbors together to help each other, to learn together, and enjoy social events. Civic buildings and community churches (which are not used most evenings) are used to create a place where volunteers teach classes and neighbors support each other. Classes and Services Include health and wellness, real estate, legal and immigration, athletics, English, Spanish, personal finance, piano, and mental and emotional wellness, including referrals to reputable providers.

Community Centers are a proven way to revitalize neighborhoods and lift families
3. Educational Support
My Hometown provides volunteers to help in schools and financially supports new, proven learning systems that help students who are endlessly left behind, to get ahead and improve their lives. Programs like Leader In Me prepares students for a global economy and equips them with skills to successfully navigate a world of constant change and choice. Additionally, principles embodied in Leader in Me, such as The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People® and The 4 Disciplines of Execution®, prepare every student for what lies ahead.

The Results of My Hometown can be seen on the faces of the people
My Hometown serves communities in many ways including serving and bringing faith groups together with love and kindness and taking down walls that may have divided us in the past. Many different churches have been aided by My Hometown.
