FUNDING ACTIVITIES

City Revitalization

Our foundation seeks long term revitalization of cities by improving education, with a special focus on Pre-K to 3rd Grade, and mental health services access for residents in need. It is a fact that half of the students in our target areas cannot read at grade level by third grade. It will dramatically change lives by implementing training to increase the effectiveness of teaching students in this target age segment.

Improving the reading level of students by third grade can have a significant impact on their academic performance and overall success in life. Students who are not reading at grade level by third grade are at a higher risk of experiencing academic and social challenges, such as higher dropout rates, lower academic achievement, and reduced job prospects.

By ensuring that all students learn to read well, societies can avoid many lifelong problems. For instance, research shows that children who learn to read early are more likely to develop strong cognitive and language skills, which improve their academic achievement and social development. Higher literacy rates also lead to lower rates of crime and poverty, as well as improved health outcomes.

Early literacy skills form the foundation for future academic success, making it easier for children to learn and grasp new concepts across all subject areas. By providing students with the resources and support they need to excel in reading, educators can empower them to achieve their full potential and contribute positively to society.
